Bringing a child into the world is one of the most exciting, nerve-racking, beautiful experiences in life, and one that you'll remember forever. If you're searching for a newborn photographer to help capture this memory, there are a few things to keep in mind to make sure your newborn photographs are not only stunning, but that your baby is safe and comfortable throughout the process.
We realize that professional photography is an investment and we love to provide our clients with so much more than just a photograph. It’s an entire experience.
Newborn photography has some key differences from other types of family photography, so it's crucial that you choose an experienced photographer that has not only worked with newborns, but is certified in newborn safety.
Knowledgeable newborn photographers know what shooting positions are safe for a newborn, and which ones aren't. For example, parents often find newborn photos on Pinterest, Instagram or similar sites and wish to recreate them. These images are usually photo-shopped, and attempting to recreate them naturally can be very unsafe for a newborn child.
An experienced photographer can spot these types of poses, and will know not to attempt them in “real life.” They can either offer a safer way to capture the look you're going for, or create those looks in Photoshop. For your babies safety, it's extremely important to choose a photographer with extensive experience. Why put your baby at risk?
